Beginning Band
2019 Summer Instrument Rental
Congratulations to Burley’s Beginning Band musicians!
They've worked hard and completed their first year of band. Soon, audition music will be available for next year’s Intermediate and Advanced Band auditions. Students are expected to learn this music over the summer and be prepared to play it for their audition in early September.
The instruments you have been using were provided by the school. Following the first year of band, students are responsible for renting and maintaining their own instruments.
You have the option of renting the instrument your musician used during Beginning Band through the summer. The total cost is $60. To participate, payment must be made by Thursday, June 6th (Multicultural Assembly date). If you choose to rent your instrument, it must be returned no later than Early Bird Days, sometime at the end of August. If you cannot make it to Early Bird Days, please make alternate arrangements to return it earlier by contacting Jen Moon.
Students who are not interested in keeping their Burley instruments must turn in their instrument at the conclusion of their Multicultural Assembly on Thursday, June 6th. Please put your student’s name on a removable piece of tape (or post-it) on the case, to ensure that your student will get credit for having turned the instrument in.
