The Burley Walkathon and Fitness Challenge is an event organized by Friends of Burley where students take the lead in Raising it Up for their school. Students/Parents create a personal page they can send to friends and family asking for support for their participation in the event. Every student that creates and shares a personal page will be eligible to win some great individual prizes. Additionally, the two homerooms (K-4, 5-8) with the highest percentage of students who create and personalize a fundraising page will win a private pizza party at Chicago's Pizza (thank you Chicago's Pizza!) Burley In-School Walkathon (K - 5th Grades)
1000 Watts Sports will be on site at Burley School on Friday May 8th to create a fun fitness challenge event for all primary grade students! Each class will have a special hour in the morning to participate in challenges and activities that blend teamwork, physical activity, and competition into an exciting fundraising event for Burley School. Students and teachers alike look forward to this event! Sign up to volunteer to help with this event at school on the morning of May 8th.
Walk to the Lake (6th - 8th Grades)
The student-favorite Walk to the Lake is always an exciting reward for a job well done! Each middle school grade that hits key fundraising and participation milestones will get the opportunity to leave school and embark on a fun, active, and adventurous walk from Burley to Lake Michigan along with friends, teachers and parent volunteers. Sign up to Chaperone this fun event!

Contest Rules: Students are entered into the prize raffle and participation contest by creating their fundraising pages with a personalized fundraising message. Each donation of $5.00 or more received through the fundraising page will generate one additional raffle entry per student. Friends of Burley reserves the right to make exceptions as necessary.
